The position is for a highly motivated and skilled research associate with extensive primary mouse and human immune cell culture experience and assay development expertise to support target discovery and validation in early discovery biology group.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform primary cell culture experiments, including isolating cells from blood/tissues, inducing differentiation and effector activities and profiling gene expression and cytokine/chemokine secretion.
Conduct multiparameter flow cytometric analysis of immune cells, including cell surface markers and intracellular transcription factors and cytokines.
Develop biochemical and cell-based assays to screen small molecule inhibitors and antibody therapeutics.
Analyze and report experimental findings and present work at team meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2 years’ work experience
Able to work independently as well as in a multi-discipline team environment.
Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects at one time and change priorities based on business needs and competitive intelligence.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to embrace a culture of continuous learning and improvement, increasing technical skill base and disease biology expertise.
