In line with the scope of the International Markets (IM) Commercial teams, this role will provide -

  • Understanding, alignment and communication of corporate strategy to IMs.

  • Strategic and operational commercial and marketing support to International Markets.

  • Understanding of IM needs and prioritization of ‘above country’ resources to meet business objectives.

  • Assessment of pipeline assets, market prioritization to secure agreement on which assets will be launched in which countries.

  • Development and tracking of KPIs (dashboard) to monitor performance and ensure resources are directed appropriately.

Key Deliverables

  • Ensure robust communication between global marketing and International Markets so that brand strategy is fully understood and local nuances are appropriately incorporated.

  • Track and monitor current business across IMs and ensure that resources are directed so as to optimize performance.

  • Assess the potential of each new asset and develop a launch prioritization and resourcing plan that is subsequently approved by all stakeholders.

  • Manage the late life cycle of the products by providing guidance and in conjunction with affiliate teams develop targeted interventions to optimize revenue .

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Lead the Hematology/Oncology IM Commercial teams to execute strategies that maximize the value of the in-line products across priority International Markets.

  • Prioritisation of IM resources to optimize revenue.

  • Drive improvements in marketing and launch excellence.

  • Ensure affiliate teams receive appropriate timely and impactful communications relating to brand and competitive strategy that assists them to perform optimally.

  • Accountable to ensure optimal cross-functional partnership and alignment, at IM level, in partnership with ED Medical Affairs Hem/Onc and ED Market Access International Markets.

  • Shared accountability with all affiliates for the business performance and P&L.

  • Provide guidance to IM team to optimize brand tradeoff recommendations at the regional and local levels in alignment.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the IM New Product Planning Plan that secures agreement across franchises and functional stakeholders for the launch of new assets in selected markets.

  • Lead pre-launch and launch planning for new products and indications that come through the pipeline through the IM teams who work with the country teams to develop, coordinate and execute marketing plans in line with agreed KPIs.

  • Drive a high performance culture by fostering innovation, customer focus, personal accountability and commitment for results.

  • Lead the Commercial team, support and develop the leaders of these teams, manage their performance and enable their fullest potential by continuous coaching on performance and behaviors.

  • Plays a key and active role in organization wide, franchise and functional related people initiatives such as strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development, succession planning and engagement.

  • Development of people and the capabilities needed for 2025 and beyond.

  • Build strong and trusted relationships with affiliates BUDs, VP GMs and Global teams in order to drive strategy and execution in IMs and maximize the opportunities in a collaborative approach.

  • Act as an active member of the IM leadership team and other governance bodies as appropriate.

Skills and Knowledge required:

  • BA or BSc required. MBA or advanced degree preferred but not mandatory.

  • Extensive commercial (marketing, sales, access and medical) experience in the bio-pharma industry with a proven record of accomplishment; operational country/regional operational/general management experience a must.

  • Expertise in Hematology/Oncology marketing across launch and post launch products at both regional/global and local levels.

  • Demonstrated track record across a broad range of marketing competencies including product knowledge, therapeutic knowledge, situational analysis, positioning, message and campaign development, and forecasting/financial analysis.

  • A solid understanding of the industry’s complex regulatory and reimbursement requirements and an absolute commitment to competing on the highest ethical level are essential.

  • Results oriented with a demonstrated ability to lead strategically, interface and collaborate effectively at all levels within a global organization.

  • Proven ability to navigate in a diverse environment, build, lead and motivate a high performing team.

  • Strategic thinker with ability to conceptualize and articulate a vision, inspires and motivates the organization.

  • Strong track record of driving performance, dealing with ambiguity and decisiveness.

  • Proactive, high energy, hands-on, make-things-happen executive; must have a results-oriented work ethic; a positive can-do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • High emotional intelligence, communication, interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships and strong credibility at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent listener; seeks broad input and feedback; frequent and effective follow-up.

  • Fluency in English essential.
