Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides superior HR partnership to a diverse, remote diverse client group and team

  • Advises and influences client group on HR strategy and works in partnership to build and sustain a high performing organization with highly engage teams

  • Advises and influences senior leadership on HR strategy as well as organizational issues that have a business impact

  • Provides superior organizational design support to client groups in a multi-markets environment

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with business leaders and senior leadership teams and stays current on HR needs and issues across multiple business areas/regions

  • Shapes HR function, creates and leverages programs, policies, and procedures to provide value added solutions for the business across the regions

  • Provides input into the long-term HR strategy and structure aligned with the business

  • Assesses, provides direction and resolves complex client concerns providing direction to team members

  • Fosters a global and inclusive mindset ensuring decisions and programs incorporate global thinking

  • Coaches leaders in creating a trust-based culture and develops strategies that drive long-term performance

  • Evaluates and manages resource allocations to ensure that current structure and resources are adequate and appropriate to roll-out of HR strategy

  • Proactively identifies enhancements of HR programs, policies and processes to meet evolving business needs

  • Leverages and encourages implementation of best-practices in HR management to increase effectiveness

  • Empowers team members to generate and share new ideas, process improvements, and best practices that align with overall HR strategy

  • Fosters an environment where partnerships with specialist functions (HR COEs) and global counterparts are encouraged to maximize knowledge and available resources

  • Leads and develops strategies to enhance the value proposition and overall Strategic Workforce Planning and Talent Management strategy of the internal and external talent pools across multiple regions

  • Leads the development of resourcing strategies and selection process, working with executive leaders to define jobs and organizational structure, anticipating future needs and coaching HR team members

  • Establishes performance standards and commits to evaluation and review of developmental opportunities

  • Partners with Talent & Leadership to lead the overall strategy of employee team development activities, ensuring business and individual training needs are met

  • Leadership and effective organization and deployment of the operational HR support across the region

  • Fosters an environment where courage to deal with sensitive issues tactfully and to challenge appropriately is strongly encouraged and consistently demonstrated

  • Is sought after as a trusted employee advocate and management coach by senior management across broad regions/globally

  • Impacts directly on overall business and HR performance achieved through the ability to influence and work in a consultative manner with the broad region/global business and HR leadership teams

  • Understanding of external environment and market dynamics and networking as appropriate across the region

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • 10+ years demonstrated HR business Partner experience in an international environment

  • Experience in operating in a multi-country set up

  • Ability to play at both strategic and tactical level with minimum supervision

  • Ability to provide senior management with content-expert knowledge in the key areas of talent acquisition, organizational development, regulatory compliance and performance management.

  • Ability to work as a team player in a very fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal and written, verbal and presentation communication skills, with the ability to develop a high degree of personal credibility across client groups

  • High emotional intelligence and proven track record of effectively operating in a diverse business environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence amongst a business team, with negotiation skills and diplomacy

  • Act as a role model for the organization looks beyond own team as a role model and source of knowledge. Works with others in a collaborative and solutions focused manner to achieve win-win outcomes

  • The ability to inspire confidence of the VP GM CNE and other senior managers through timely delivery of information and plans

  • Able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach

  • Strong project management skills a must

  • Experience in pharmaceuticals highly desirable

  • Ability to travel up to 50% across Europe
