The Sr. Product Manager assists in the development, implementation and follow up of strategic and tactical marketing plans aimed to the development of comprehensive programs, intended to promote and optimize the position of the Myeloma brands in Mexico. Identify business opportunities in the different markets and define the action plans that allow taking advantage of these opportunities in a multidisciplinary manner. Also participates in the development of business plans, product strategies, and tactical implementation.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, develop, support and follow up the implementation of the Annual Brand Plan together with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and leveraging relationships with opinion leaders in the market, and on local and regional guidelines.

  • Make field visits to review the implementation of the promotional plan and gather the needs of stakeholders.

  • Prepare and control the forecast on a monthly basis (sales and budget).

  • Analyze and assimilate extensive market data/intelligence and incorporate the findings into the planning process.

  • Analyze the situation to make timely decisions and ensure the success of marketing plans.

  • Keep up to date with all new information/data for the brand and its competitors and utilize the information to provide a competitive advantage for our brands in Mexico

  • Provide promotional support to the Sales Force, Access Structure and Commercial Structure.

  • Lead the development of marketing materials and ensure timely approval of materials in accordance with local regulatory requirements

  • Timely deliver the cycle material to the Training Manager and Medical Manager, as well as coordinate the different product knowledge needs.

  • Ensure effective role out of marketing campaigns to the field team through cycle briefing meetings.

  • In order to position, maintain and strengthen the product portfolio, establish the need for local strategic events.

  • Close management of marketing budgets to ensure expenditure is aligned with the brand plan.

  • Work in coordination with Market Access and Funding to open up new markets.

  • Brand leadership – a product manager must be seen as ‘the’ brand advocate

  • Demonstrate belief and passion for the brand

  • Convey ideas and plans clearly to ensure broad understanding

  • Generate support for ideas and plans through persuasion and consensus

  • Work with all relevant internal stakeholders to canvass opinion and request input to support the planning process

  • Clear communication to all levels of the organization – create clarity for the brand and its positioning in the market

  • Utilize innovative thinking to overcome barriers and hurdles faced in the field

  • Lead the delivery of the operational plan and secure support from colleagues to help achieve your goals

  • Track success and develop rapid corrective activities if needed

Competencies-Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Marketing research and new product development experience highly desirable

  • Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish is required

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with all members of the Celgene team appropriately in order to accomplish corporate and individual objectives.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ industry and minimum of 5 year product management in specialty care

  • Oncology / Hematology market experience desirable

  • Business, Administration, Marketing and/or any related career.

  • MBA is a plus
