Under the direction of the Sr. Manager Marketing Oncology, this individual is responsible for the

development, implementation, and execution of marketing and educational programs in the

therapeutic field of oncology, focusing on Celgene´s key indications i.e. non-small cell lung

cancer, pancreatic cancer and/or breast cancer. He/she actively drives the development of brand

plans, respective product strategies and tactical implementation plans.

In addition, he/she builds and maintains close relationships with internal stakeholders,

external vendors, and opinion leaders in the market.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Member of Affiliate Brand Team, responsible for shaping product strategy

  2. Partners with Austrian and Switzerland affiliate brand teams in order to prepare

symposia and promotional activities for DACH congresses.

  1. Drives projects with key-KOLs resulting in data and publications that impact national

and international markets

  1. Analyzes and assimilates extensive market data/intelligence and incorporates the findings

into the oncology brand planning process

  1. Keeps up to date with all new information/data for the oncology brands and utilizes

the information to provide competitive advantages for our brands

  1. Leads the development of marketing materials and ensures timely approval of

materials in accordance with regulatory requirements

  1. Designs and executes promotional activities in line with the global branding and global key


  1. Ensures effective role out of marketing campaigns to the field team through cycle

briefing meetings & training sessions

  1. Constantly seeks feedback and inspires the sales force, is perceived as being a passionate

and persuasive brand champion

  1. Tracks implementation and success; develops rapid corrective activities if needed

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  •  Strong identification with Celgene’s values

  •  Natural science degree required

  •  Preferably PhD in field of molecular biology

  •  Professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry as well as in marketing (3-5 years), experience in the field of oncology required (preferably in non-small cell lung cancer, and/or breast cancer and/or pancreatic cancer)

  •  Successful track record within the pharmaceutical industry, experience in sales preferred

  •  High scientific profile with the ability to simplify new and complex clinical data

  •  Oncology market experience expected, focus on our indications preferred

  •  PC literate in Microsoft Office

  •  Team worker

  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills required

  •  Fluency in German and English, both oral and written communications

  •  Strong analytical skills

  •  Ability to work with all levels of personnel and establish positive working relationships, in particular with the sales and medical team

  •  Independent self-starter, accurate and well organized

  •  Highly energetic, self reliant, able to successfully drive performance and deliver results with various parties in a timely and efficient manne
