Celgene Product Specialist (Fixed Term) (Kassel, Marburg, Gießen, Fulda) in Offsite, Germany

Under the direction of the Regional Business Manager this individual is responsible to maximize sales

of Celgene’s products. The Product Specialist implements the marketing strategy and is responsible for achieving defined sales targets within an agreed expenses budget.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Scientific expert advice and support of opinion leaders (KOL) and medical oncologists in

oncology clinics and outpatient center.

  1. Responsibility for regional sales goals and other performance expectations, as agreed with line


  1. Close cooperation with our regional clinical project managers and health economics experts: to

provide medical research and health economic information.

  1. Customer, market and competitive analysis for efficient territory management.

  2. Keeps BU Director informed of any market changes/competitor activities, which are relevant to

strategy implementation and development.

  1. Organization and implementation of medical training events.

  2. Interdisciplinary cooperation with marketing, health economics and medicine, close cooperation

with our regional clinical project managers and health economics experts.

  1. Participation in symposia and workshops.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  •  Strong identification with Celgene’s values.

  •  Life science degree (university, college) or equivalent professional experience.

  •  Sales-oriented training with work experience in competitive markets and proven success in field service.

  •  Excellent knowledge in oncology, solid tumors, is an essential, special knowledge in the field of emphasis of breast, lung, pancreatic is desirable.

  •  Excellent and reliable contacts with organ oncologists (gynecologist, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, and urologists).

  •  Excellent and reliable contacts with opinion leaders / breast centers in the relevant indications, within his/ her region.

  •  Knowledge of the distribution structures and distribution channels of cytostatic drugs.

  •  Marketing- and sales-oriented thinking and working.

  •  Entrepreneurship and commercial thinking in generic competition markets.

  •  Contacts with public cytostatic preparations pharmacies and clinic pharmacies.

  •  Several years of qualified work experience in pharmaceutical sales service of a research-based, biopharmaceutical company, preferred with oncology background.

  •  Enjoys sales, team and project work. Highly motivated, solution oriented and positive "can-do" attitude.

  •  Straight forward, success-, service- and sales-oriented thinking and working.

  •  Target oriented approach based on analytical-rational planning.

  •  Exceptional communication and thought leadership/ strong willed.

  •  Confident manner, good customer acceptance due to medical and scientific advisory expertise.

  •  Enjoys working in a sales team and doing project work. High self motivation.

  •  Good English and computer skills.

  •  Willingness to travel and training continuously

  •  Valid driver‘s license.
