PREREQUISITES

A business/administrative school graduate or equivalent in industry experience.

Under the direction of Executive Leadership, responsible for all administrative support for the SVP, Global Regulatory. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential material is critical to the position. In addition, strong organizational, prioritization, interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide administrative support to SVP, Global Regulatory for day-to-day operations as well as individual projects as needed. Prepare presentation materials. Responsible for scheduling, organizing and recording all staff meetings. Open, sort and distribute mail, fax documents, keep files, order office supplies and maintain supplies. Manage staff calendars, updating monthly schedule. Arrange and schedule travel itinerary and related activities including expense reports. Screen telephone calls and provide coverage for executive team. Acts as an “approachable ambassador” for Global Regulatory as well as for Celgene as a whole. Responsible for professional external interaction with Boards and external organizations. Other duties related to the above within Celgene as a whole, as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Twenty plus years of Executive Administrative Assistant experience and ten plus years supporting a corporate officer preferred.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be a team player and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability to the team are required.

  • Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information.

  • Must be able to work with limited day-to-day supervision.

  • A business/administrative school graduate or equivalent in industry experience.

  • Ability to function productively in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong PC experience, Microsoft Office Suite experience required including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and strong computer acumen. Excel Skills at an intermedial level is a plus.
