Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Direct Management of team and daily activities related to the total invoice to cash process, including invoicing, receipt processing, returns, adjustments and collections for the Americas Operations (i.e. US, Canadian, and Latin American operations)
Review of month end close for the Americas and manage audit requirements throughout the year
Responsible for assessing and adjusting, if needed, AR internal controls to ensure key risks are mitigated and team standard operating procedures are maintained and followed
Establish, monitor, analyze and report on key performance metrics. Adjust the steam and structure as needed to gain efficiencies and optimal processing for the AR area.
Collaborate and coordinate with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, Order Management, Accounting, Commercial Operations, and Financial Systems (IT) on projects and resolution of AR issues to ensure key decisions are properly supported and communicated prior to implementation
Project lead for significant IT and non-IT process improvements, break fixes, and system solutions to enhance the efficiency of the overall AR process
Lead identification of opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions and system enhancements so the team can operate in an efficient and cost- effective manner
Business process lead for ad-hoc projects and reporting as necessary to support business strategies and expanding business footprint
Develop AR policies and procedures and ensure compliance
Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external customers
Address all non-routine AR related transactions effectively and timely
Excellent managerial skills and ability to drive team objectives and performance, with a focus on talent development
Strong oral, written and presentation skills with all levels of management
Excellent project management skills of small and large projects in cross-functional, dynamic environment, maximizing the use of internal and external resources
Able to understand and develop solutions for more complex process / system driven problems
Comprehensive understanding of the full AR cycle as well as the functional/departmental interdependencies across the entire OTC process
Strong understanding of period end close cycle, ability to understand accounting flows related to AR to ensure appropriate posting and reporting in our financial reports
Strong analytical skills, proficient with excel and skill set required to prepare detailed analytics.
Robust understanding of financial systems, preferably direct experience with Oracle
Supervisory experience strongly preferred
Experience with a biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical company strongly preferred
Experience in a multi-site, multi-function shared services environment a plus

- BA or BS in Accounting / Finance or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of Accounting / Finance / Accounts Receivable or equivalent work experience; Supervisory experience and experience with a biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical company strongly preferred.
