The Technical Specialist, Enterprise Services Design at Celgene is a junior level position to help in delivering and supporting technology infrastructure to meet the substantial growth of the business. Part of the growing Enterprise Services team, this role will help design strategies, roadmaps, standards, and produce documentation which will include process design in Identity and Directory Services (Active Directory) and with an opportunity to be part of a diverse team that manages hosting (cloud, VMWare, storage), Service Continuity and system management.
This is a hands-on role and you will be part of a group that does service design (engineering) of technical solutions for Celgene.
The role should have a strong sense of personal accountability and be excited by the challenge of working in a scalable, innovative environment. Strong passion and will to learn technology and learn business.
Supports IT functional area on projects within specialty area of Enterprise Services
Develop a basic understanding of high level IT strategy
Responsible for defined tasks as assigned by supervisor understanding the delivery needs and timeframe
Develop an understanding of solution delivery process
Develop an understanding of business processes being supported
Clearly be able to communicate by translating technology needs to business requirements based on your audience.
Develop strong partnerships with Architecture, Project Management, Operations and other service organizations
Partner and collaborate with people at all levels – individual engineers, managers, executives and key vendors. Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to team development.
Bachelor`s Degree (recent graduate, Computer Science degree preferred or similar) or equivalent with 2+ years relevant experience
Operational focus, solves issues of basic to moderate complexity using techniques such as Critical thinking
Identify, escalate and propose solutions
Be able to formulate and present ideas
Moderate supervision with clear direction given.
Must be a team player and partner well. Willing to learn and think outside the box
Must have strong working knowledge of MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
Technical Coordination / Technical Project experience managing task
Able to make appropriate decision or seek guidance when handling potentially confidential or employee related information when performing daily tasks
Use appropriate judgement and decision making in redirecting or escalating arising situations to direct supervisor in a timely manner
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Operating system knowledge and experience
Knowledge of Cloud computing as it relates to infrastructure and security a plus
Understanding of Automation and/or development including scripting experience a plus
Understanding of Agile a plus
